About the Role: The Real Estate Operations Specialist will support the Global Real Estate Design & Delivery organization by managing financial operations, compliance, and reporting for capital projects across a global portfolio. This temporary role backfills an existing team member on leave and plays a crucial part in ensuring the accuracy, efficiency, and integrity of financial and operational data across multiple regions.

The position requires strong expertise in capital expenditure (CapEx) management, cost control, and financial oversight within the real estate design and construction domain. The specialist will work collaboratively with regional teams across EMEA and APAC to maintain consistency and transparency in reporting and compliance processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the operational and reporting backbone of the Real Estate Design & Delivery function.
  • Lead and coordinate global financial reporting processes weekly, monthly, and quarterly for capital projects.
  • Ensure CapEx compliance and maintain data integrity across systems and regional portfolios.
  • Identify and flag financial or operational discrepancies, coordinating with regional leads to ensure corrective actions.
  • Partner with directors and project managers globally to align on forecasts, budgeting, and cost control procedures.
  • Facilitate communication and information flow across time zones (AMER, EMEA, APAC).
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and process optimization for real estate operations.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate reports, dashboards, and spreadsheets for financial tracking and project oversight.
  • Collaborate with peers to support operational governance and best practices in global real estate delivery.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience: 5 7+ years in real estate project controls, operations, or management within design, construction, or real estate development organizations.
  • Education: Bachelor s degree in Business, Finance, Real Estate, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in CapEx management, project financial lifecycle oversight, and cost control principles.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and advanced use of spreadsheets (Excel or Google Sheets).
  • Experience with construction or project management software such as e-Builder, Procore, or Primavera.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work flexibly with global teams across time zones (occasional early morning or evening meetings).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in corporate real estate operations for global or large-scale infrastructure projects.
  • Familiarity with financial compliance frameworks and audit processes in capital projects.
  • Demonstrated success improving operational efficiency in complex, cross-functional environments.
  • Prior experience with large technology or multinational organizations (not required but advantageous).
