DUTIES:

• Develop and operate production systems.
• Provide the Health Plan Systems with a platform for real-time stream processing by performing application and production support to ensure the availability of streaming services and the continuous flow of data.
• Handle solutioning designs by utilizing AWS services such as IAM, Glue, Lambda, S3, Athena, SNS, SQS, DynamoDB, Step Functions, EMR, ECS, Route 53, and Redshift.
• Responsible for source control, building, testing, and deployment of cloud solutions using tools including Git, AWS Developer Tools, Terraform, CloudFormation, and GitLab.
• Monitor and implement alerting solutions using tools like CloudWatch, PagerDuty, and Splunk.
• Utilize knowledge of various agile methodologies, including Scrum or Kanban, to manage projects and deliverables.
• Execute streaming best practices and ensure proper stream architecture for real-time data processing.
• Design, develop, and maintain real-time processing applications and data pipelines.
• Develop tooling to monitor core infrastructure health and perform system upgrades.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines and logging mechanisms to automate deployments and ensure system stability.
• Analyze and evaluate new streaming technologies, moving from proof of concept to full-scale implementation.
• Implement automation and self-service tools to streamline interactions with shared service infrastructure.
• Position reports to Centene headquarters at 7700 Forsyth Boulevard, St. Louis, MO 63105 and various unanticipated worksites throughout the U.S. Telecommuting permitted 100% of the time.
• No additional national or international travel is anticipated.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• PRIMARY REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering or related or equivalent experience acquired through accomplishments of applicable knowledge, duties, scope and skill reflective of the level of this position, and 2 years of relevant work experience.
• ALTERNATIVE REQUIREMENTS: Master's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering or related or equivalent experience acquired through accomplishments of applicable knowledge, duties, scope and skill reflective of the level of this position, and 1 year of relevant work experience.
• In addition, experience with the following skills is required: 1) Developing and optimizing real-time data pipelines using AWS Glue for ETL processes, extracting data from heterogeneous sources, transforming it using Python-based logic, and loading it into S3 and Redshift for analytics and reporting; (2) Utilizing AWS Lambda and Step Functions to automate serverless workflows, ensuring efficient and scalable data processing for real-time applications, while integrating Amazon SNS and SQS for reliable messaging and event-driven architecture; (3) Designing and implementing data storage solutions using DynamoDB, ensuring high availability, fault tolerance, and low-latency data access to support production workloads and realtime analytics; and (4) Building and managing infrastructure with Terraform, CloudFormation, and AWS Developer Tools to automate deployments and CI/CD pipelines, while writing Python unit and integration tests to ensure code quality and functionality across cloud services and application layers.

JOB SITE: 7700 Forsyth Boulevard, St. Louis, MO 63105

WORK HOURS: Monday-Friday, 40 hours/week [8:00 am to 5:00 pm]

PAY RANGE: $131,443.97 to $158,100.00 per year
