Detailed Job Description:

The NMS Developer will primarily be responsible for supporting day-to-day operations specializing in developing, designing and maintaining applications using NodeJS, NestJS and TypeScript, while working with MongoDB to design schemas, optimize queries and maintain data integrity. Additionally, the NMS Developer will conduct daily support for escalation for platform issues and delivering operations governance, ensuring service delivery quality from and to internal and external parties. Using strong troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and task management skills, they will be working towards Connected Services operations excellence.

Responsibilities:

Design, develop and maintain scalable applications using NodeJS, NestJS and TypeScript Hands on with MongoDB to design schemas, optimize queries and maintain data integrity.

Write clean, maintainable and efficient code following best practices Conduct unit testing and debugging to ensure the robustness and reliability of applications Collaborate with closely with other team members to create seamless user experiences Assist in integrating AWS web services into applications Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for new and existing features

Skills Required:

Proficiency in JavaScript and/or TypeScript Strong understanding of NodeJS, including asynchronous programming and event-driven architecture Experience with NestJS or ExpressJS or similar frameworks (e.g., Koa, Hapi) to handle HTTP requests and build RESTful APIs Familiarity with databases (MongoDB, PostgreSQL) to store user data and logs.

AWS Technical knowledge in API Gateway, R53, ECS/EKS, ECR, CloudWatch, SNS/SQS, Lambda, S3 etc. is required.

Knowledge in testing frameworks like Jest Good understanding of Security Best Practices to implement security at various levels to protect devices & data Expert level technical knowledge in developing cloud native applications covering infrastructure, platform and software as services.

Developing and designing REST APIs using JSON, other messaging protocols.

Software Development craftsmanship Code Quality, Automated Testing and Agile best practices

Added Bonus skills:

Knowledge of different types of notification services (e.g., email, SMS, push notifications.) Understanding of protocols such as SMTP for emails, SMS gateways for text messages, and push notification services like Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) or Apple Push Notification Service (APNs.) Candidates with AWS Developer Certification are preferred.

Knowledge on Java, Spring boot, et would be a value add.
