Job Description
We are looking for a Network Engineer to support and maintain network infrastructure in a manufacturing (food/bakery) plant environment. The role focuses on ensuring reliable connectivity for plant operations, ERP systems, and shop-floor applications.
Responsibilities
- Design, configure, and support LAN/WAN/Wi-Fi networks in manufacturing plants
- Maintain routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs
- Support IT/OT network connectivity for shop-floor systems (PLC, MES, SCADA)
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime
- Implement network security and access controls
- Support plant go-lives, upgrades, and expansions
Required Skills
- 4+ years of Network Engineering experience
- Strong knowledge of LAN, WAN, VLAN, VPN, TCP/IP
- Experience with Cisco networking equipment
- Firewall experience (Fortinet, Palo Alto, Cisco ASA)
- Network monitoring and troubleshooting experience
Preferred / Nice to Have
- Manufacturing or plant network experience
- Exposure to PLC, SCADA, MES, or shop-floor systems
- CompTIA Network+, CCNA, or CCNP certification
