We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Performance Tester to support the implementation of a Financial Management System (FMS). The ideal candidate will have extensive expertise in designing, executing, and analyzing performance testing scenarios while working to optimize system behavior under load. This position is based in Houston, Texas, operating on a hybrid working policy. The candidate may work remotely regularly but must be available to attend in-office meetings, trainings, and business requirements as needed. The assignment is expected to last 7 months.

Responsibilities:

  • Create advanced scripts leveraging C, JavaScript, and performance testing tool features to reflect real-world user activity.

  • Analyze system architecture and identify bottlenecks or potential performance risks in the Financial Management System (FMS) implementation.

  • Monitor and capture system metrics, including CPU utilization, memory leaks, network performance, and disk I/O, during testing phases.

  • Collaborate with development, QA, and operations teams to define system performance requirements and acceptance criteria.

  • Document detailed test results, provide analysis, and present actionable recommendations for application optimization to stakeholders and management.

  • Integrate performance testing workflows with CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins or Azure DevOps.

  • Conduct root cause analysis on performance issues and support troubleshooting efforts to resolve system inefficiencies.

  • Recommend and implement optimization strategies to improve system scalability, reliability, and responsiveness.

Experience and Skills:

  • 5-8 years of performance testing experience, including script creation, test execution, and performance analysis.

  • Strong understanding of system architecture, databases, and web technologies.

  • Proficiency in performance testing tools such as JMeter, LoadRunner, and familiarity with advanced scripting features.

  • Hands-on experience with scripting languages such as C and JavaScript to develop robust and customized test scenarios.

  • Deep knowledge of system resource monitoring during stress testing (e.g., CPU, memory leaks, network, disk I/O).

  • Prior experience integrating performance testing tools into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, Azure DevOps).

  • Demonstrated ability to provide actionable insights and recommendations based on test results and performance analysis.

  • Exposure to cloud platforms and cloud-based architecture is a plus.

  • Detail-oriented with high accuracy in test execution and reporting.

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and present results to stakeholders.

Duration:

  • Project duration: 7 months.
