Job Title: Business Analyst – Wholesale Credit / Lending
Location: New York City, NY (Hybrid – 3 Days Onsite Per Week)
Duration : 12 Months Contract
Job Description:
Our client is seeking an experienced Business Analyst with deep expertise in Wholesale Credit and Lending to join our Risk and Technology Transformation team. The ideal candidate will act as a strategic liaison between business stakeholders and technology teams, driving innovation in credit risk modeling, lending operations, and overall credit management processes.
Key Responsibilities:
* Partner with credit risk, lending, and operations teams to identify process gaps and improvement opportunities.
* Translate complex business requirements into functional and technical specifications for technology solutions.
* Support the design, testing, and implementation of technology platforms enhancing credit decisioning, data quality, and operational efficiency.
* Collaborate with developers, project managers, and QA teams to ensure solutions align with risk and compliance mandates.
* Conduct gap analysis and impact assessments for system and process changes.
* Provide detailed documentation including BRDs, FRDs, user stories, and workflow diagrams.
* Contribute to the modernization of risk modeling tools and automation of reporting frameworks.
* Facilitate UAT and coordinate training with end-users.
Required Skills & Experience:
* 12-15 + years of experience as a Business Analyst in Wholesale Credit / Commercial Lending within the banking or financial services industry.
* Strong domain knowledge in credit lifecycle, loan origination, underwriting, risk rating models, and portfolio management.
* Experience working on large-scale technology transformation initiatives in the lending or credit risk domain.
* Familiarity with credit risk models, regulatory compliance (Basel, CCAR), and internal rating systems.
* Proficiency in working with cross-functional teams across risk, IT, and business operations.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Nice to Have:
* Exposure to platforms like Moody’s RiskAuthority, ACBS, Loan IQ, or similar systems.
* Experience with data analysis, SQL, or BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
* Prior experience working in a global banking environment, especially within Japanese banks.
Education:
* Bachelor’s degree in finance, Business, Information Systems, or a related field. Master’s or MBA preferred.
