Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain Varicent compensation models, calculations, workflows, and reports.
  • Gather business requirements and translate them into technical specifications for incentive plans.
  • Build and configure Varicent components such as data tables, formulas, staging tables, and dashboards.
  • Integrate Varicent with other enterprise systems (CRM, HR, ERP, Data Warehouse, etc.).
  • Perform unit testing, system testing, and support UAT with business users.
  • Troubleshoot issues, optimize model performance, and implement enhancements.
  • Document technical specifications, configuration changes, and processes.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders in Sales Operations, HR, IT, and Finance.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
  • 6+ years of experience in Varicent/IBM ICM development and configuration.
  • Strong understanding of sales compensation structures and incentive plan logic.
  • Proficiency in SQL and working with relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle).
  • Experience with data modeling, ETL, and reporting tools.
  • Familiarity with software development life cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Varicent certification(s) or formal Varicent training.
  • Experience integrating Varicent with Salesforce, Workday, SAP, or other enterprise platforms.
  • Knowledge of cloud technologies (e.g., Azure, AWS) and scripting languages (e.g., Python).
  • Experience in industries such as telecom, finance, or tech with complex compensation plans.
