Job Role: UI/ UX Designer
Location: Reston, VA

Job Description
The UI/UX Designer is responsible for creating intuitive, engaging, and user-centered digital experiences. This role blends creativity with analytical thinking to design interfaces that are not only visually appealing but also highly functional and aligned with user needs and business goals.

Key Responsibilities:
User Research & Analysis: Conduct user interviews, surveys, and usability testing to understand user behaviors, needs, and pain points.

Wireframing & Prototyping: Create wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes to visualize design concepts and user flows.

Visual Design: Develop high-fidelity UI designs that align with brand guidelines and enhance usability across web and mobile platforms.

Interaction Design: Define how users interact with the product, ensuring smooth transitions, animations, and feedback mechanisms.

Collaboration: Work closely with product owners, managers, developers, and other stakeholders to translate requirements into user-friendly designs.

Design Systems: Maintain and evolve design systems and component libraries for consistency and scalability.

Accessibility & Responsiveness: Ensure designs are inclusive and optimized for various devices and screen sizes.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

- Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar.

- Strong understanding of UX principles, design thinking, and user-centered design.

- Experience with responsive design and accessibility standards (WCAG).

- Ability to interpret data and feedback to iterate and improve designs.

- Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Preferred Experience:

- Background in front-end development (HTML/CSS/JavaScript) is a plus.

- Experience working in Agile or cross-functional product teams.

- Prior Fannie Mae experience is a plus.
