Contract: W2 only, 12-month contract with potential for extension or full-time conversion with either the client or CEI
Pay: $45-$50/hour W2 + optional medical, dental, vision, 401(k) match
Overview
The DevOps/Automation Engineer will support PNC's Orange Rocket project, focusing on infrastructure automation, service provisioning, and platform management both on-premises and in the cloud. This role involves creating and maintaining automation solutions to reduce time-to-market and enhance testing capabilities within a modern data center environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in daily stand-ups and collaborate on JIRA tasks and stories
- Engage in working sessions with cross-functional teams to develop solutions
- Interact with external teams to ensure seamless automation and provisioning processes
- Contribute to agile two-week sprint cycles
- Develop and maintain automation for server provisioning using Infrastructure as Code tools such as Ansible and Terraform
- Manage automation across Windows and Linux platforms, ensuring high performance and reliability
- Support the modernization of testing environments for performance validation and scalability
Required Skills
- Strong experience with Ansible and Terraform
- Proficiency in Windows and Linux operating systems, with a very strong Linux background
- Hands-on experience with Powershell and Python scripting
- Knowledge of infrastructure automation and service provisioning
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with excellent communication skills
- Punctuality, self-motivation, and critical thinking skills
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Chocolaty or similar package management tools
- Familiarity with cloud platforms and hybrid environments
- Prior experience working within PNC or similar financial institutions
- Exposure to testing and validation environments in data centers
