Job Overview:

We are seeking a Copilot Implementation Architect with a strong background in data protection, compliance, and Microsoft 365 environments to lead the secure deployment and integration of Microsoft Copilot across an enterprise setting. This role requires deep knowledge of security frameworks and hands-on implementation skills, especially in regulated industries such as healthcare, research, or government.


Responsibilities:

  • Lead the technical implementation of Microsoft Copilot (M365, GitHub, or Security Copilot) across the organization.

  • Serve as the bridge between leadership, technical teams, and stakeholders to ensure alignment on functionality and security.

  • Design secure Copilot architectures in compliance with HIPAA, GDPR, NIST, and related standards.

  • Define governance models, access controls, and data boundaries within the Microsoft 365 ecosystem.

  • Configure DLP, Information Protection, and Security Policies within Copilot and M365.

  • Collaborate with Information Security, Compliance, and IT to mitigate risks and ensure adherence to security best practices.

  • Assist with change management, user training, and phased rollouts.

  • Provide hands-on configuration, deployment support, and ongoing troubleshooting.

  • Document best practices, architectural decisions, and configuration standards.

  • Stay current on Microsoft AI security updates and product improvements.


Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience as a Solutions Architect or AI Implementation Engineer, ideally within Microsoft cloud environments.

  • Proven experience deploying Microsoft Copilot tools in enterprise environments.

  • Strong understanding of Microsoft 365 Security & Compliance Center, Azure Information Protection, Sensitivity Labels, DLP, Conditional Access, and Zero Trust Architecture.

  • Deep knowledge of data privacy regulations (HIPAA, GDPR, CCPA) and their application in AI/ML tools.

  • Experience working with regulated data in healthcare, research, or government sectors.

  • Expertise in Azure security tools, including Microsoft Purview, Microsoft Defender for Cloud, and IAM.

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain complex risks to both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Ability to lead technical workshops and cross-functional collaboration.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Microsoft Certifications (any of the following):

    • Microsoft Certified: Cybersecurity Architect Expert

    • Microsoft Certified: Security Operations Analyst Associate

    • Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert

  • Familiarity with AI ethics, responsible AI, and risk frameworks.

  • Prior experience in nonprofit, healthcare, or research environments.

  • Strong leadership and facilitation capabilities.

  • Comfortable working with diverse stakeholders.

  • Self-motivated and able to operate in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
