MuleSoft Governance Tools: Out-of-the-box governance tools are unavailable; the existing tool is expensive and not possessed by the team.
Mitigation Strategy: Utilization of custom scripts and automation to enforce governing rules across all APIs, ensuring adherence to standards and preventing low-quality entries in the API catalog.
Standards Enforced:
Use of internal identifiers like mods ID in ServiceNow to uniquely identify each application.
Ensuring API ownership and maintaining distribution lists for accountability and communication.
Hiring Needs and Challenges
Role Requirements:
Seeking a senior developer with extensive experience in MuleSoft or Python APIs.
Preferred candidates should have at least eight years of overall experience, with the latter four years focused on MuleSoft or enterprise Java development.
Emphasis on candidates with a strong background in enterprise-level software development, particularly in Java, due to the prevalence of legacy Java applications.
Experience with Java 8 and Java 17, containerization (RTF), on-premise and cloud deployments, and API governance and security is highly desirable.
Certified MuleSoft developer/integration architect with hands-on experience on design, architecture and development preferably deploying Mule applications through RTF.
Candidate must have foundational enterprise level J2EE and/or Python coding experience.
Working experience with Security and authentication utilizing different tools.
API standards and governance.
Experience working with PBI dashboarding/reporting is a plus.
