Responsibilities: As a Principal Mobile Engineer, you will play a crucial role in architecting and leading the development of mobile solutions for the retail industry. Your responsibilities will include:
- Overseeing multiple mobile projects from conception to delivery, ensuring adherence to project timelines and requirements.
- Architecting mobile solutions using React Native and cross-platform development tools to ensure optimal performance and user experience.
- Leading a team of mobile engineers, providing technical guidance, mentorship, and support.
- Collaborating with business departments to understand and prioritize engineering needs, and communicating technical concepts effectively.
- Conducting code reviews, providing feedback, and implementing best practices to maintain high-quality code standards.
- Staying updated on emerging technologies and industry trends related to mobile development, and recommending innovative solutions to enhance our mobile offerings.
Requirements:
- Expert knowledge of mobile development, with extensive experience in both Android and iOS platforms.
- Proficiency in React Native and cross-platform development tools (e.g., Expo, Xamarin, Flutter).
- Proven experience architecting and leading the development of mobile solutions for consumer-facing applications.
- Strong understanding of mobile app design principles, user interface guidelines, and best practices.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and business stakeholders.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in the retail industry or consumer-facing mobile applications.
- Familiarity with backend technologies and APIs.
- Knowledge of mobile security best practices and performance optimization techniques.
