Vaco Birmingham is working with a local firm in the insurance space on an exciting new Software Dev Opportunity.
Location - On-Site in Birmingham, AL
Salary - $80,000-$95,000 base
Tech Stack - VB.NET, SQL Server, React
Reports To - CIO
This position is responsible for assisting in the operation of all corporate information systems, to include development, training, and implementation activities.
Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual’s skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs. With that said, as required by local law in geographies that require salary range disclosure, Vaco/Highspring notes the salary range for the role is noted in this job posting. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, and can participate in medical, dental, and vision benefits as well as the company’s 401(k) retirement plan.

This position is responsible for assisting in the operation of all corporate information systems, to include development, training, and implementation activities.
Job Duties:
- Design, develop, write and test modifications to legacy systems.
- Assist with design, development, writing and testing of new systems, and be responsible for maintenance thereof, as directed.
- Train users accordingly.
- Link all existing and new computerized systems.
- Provide comprehensive documentation.
- Develop conversion plans and systems to integrate legacy systems with new systems.
- Test integrations.
- Design, develop and implement complementary report generation systems as identified which will access all data repositories.
- In cooperation with CIO, and other designated personnel, maintain and enhance, and assist in resolving issues related to Internet and Intranet web sites.
Qualifications
- 2 years of professional Full stack web development experience.
- Comfortable with VB.NET, JavaScript, React, Node.js, PHP, SQL Server
- Experience in systems design, development, and implementation
- Healthcare application experience preferred
