Job Details
We are seeking an experienced Operational Technology (OT) Architect to design, implement, and maintain secure, resilient industrial control systems architecture across our manufacturing and critical infrastructure environments. This role requires deep expertise in industrial automation, cybersecurity, and network design to support our digital transformation initiatives while ensuring operational safety and reliability.
Key Responsibilities
Architecture Design & Strategy
Develop comprehensive OT architecture for SCADA, DCS, PLC, and HMI systems
Design secure network segmentation strategies including DMZs, firewalls, and air-gapped environments
Support Creating technology roadmaps for OT infrastructure modernization and IT/OT convergence initiatives
Develop and Establish architectural standards and best practices for industrial control systems
Security & Compliance
Implement cybersecurity frameworks aligned with IEC 62443, NIST Cybersecurity Framework, and NERC CIP standards
Conduct risk assessments and vulnerability analyses for industrial control systems
Design/Implement secure remote access solutions for vendor management and maintenance operations
Develop incident response procedures specific to OT environments
Provide technical guidance on OT technology selections and integration strategies
Collaborate with operations teams to ensure minimal disruption during system implementations
Mentor junior engineers and build internal OT expertise
Required Qualifications
Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field
5+ years of experience in industrial automation, control systems, or OT environments
Technical Skills
Expert knowledge of industrial protocols (Modbus, DNP3, OPC, Ethernet/IP, Profinet)
Proficiency with major automation platforms (Rockwell, Siemens, Schneider Electric, Honeywell)
Good understanding of network architecture, including industrial Ethernet and wireless technologies
Experience with virtualization technologies and cloud integration for OT environments
Knowledge of cybersecurity tools and technologies specific to industrial environments
Ability to obtain TWIC and valid passport
Certifications Preferred
ISA/IEC 62443 Cybersecurity Fundamentals Specialist
GIAC Critical Infrastructure Protection (GCIP) or Industrial Defender (GRID)
Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
Vendor-specific certifications (Rockwell, Siemens, etc.)
Industry Background
Manufacturing, utilities, oil & gas, or critical infrastructure experience
Hands-on experience with brownfield and greenfield industrial projects
Understanding of regulatory requirements and safety systems (SIS, F&G)
Problem-Solving Approach
Ability to balance security, reliability, and operational requirements i
Experience troubleshooting complex industrial control system issues
Track record of successful large-scale OT infrastructure implementations
