Job Title: Director Delivery Manager (SAP to S/4HANA Transformation)

Location: Charlotte or willing to relocate to Charlotte - Hybrid 3 days/week onsite

Type: Contract to Hire


About the Role:

We are seeking a seasoned Director Delivery Manager to lead and oversee the end-to-end transformation from SAP ECC to S/4HANA. The ideal candidate will bring deep ERP experience, with at least one full-cycle S/4HANA implementation successfully delivered. This role is responsible for managing the system integrator (SI) partner, overseeing internal and external application development, and driving DevOps practices across the ERP landscape.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary delivery leader for the SAP S/4HANA transformation program.
  • Oversee and coordinate all activities with the selected System Integrator (SI) partner to ensure scope, schedule, and budget adherence.
  • Manage internal teams (app dev, infrastructure, business stakeholders) to ensure alignment with program milestones and business outcomes.
  • Lead project governance, reporting, and steering committee communications.
  • Oversee development and technical teams responsible for customizations, extensions, and integrations with third-party systems.
  • Implement and oversee DevOps processes and automation in support of S/4HANA landscape (CI/CD, testing, monitoring, etc.).
  • Collaborate closely with business units to ensure solution delivery meets functional needs and supports change management.
  • Identify and manage program risks, dependencies, and mitigation plans.

Required Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience managing large-scale ERP programs, including hands-on delivery oversight.
  • Proven track record delivering at least one successful S/4HANA transformation (brownfield or greenfield).
  • Strong background in managing SI vendors, technical teams, and multi-disciplinary stakeholders.
  • Solid understanding of SAP architecture (ECC, S/4HANA, Fiori, integrations, data migration, etc.).
  • Familiarity with DevOps methodologies in enterprise environments.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • PMP, ITIL, or SAFe certifications a plus.
