Position Summary
The Engineering & Facilities Manager is responsible for leading the Manufacturing Engineering and Facilities Maintenance Teams and providing technical leadership in support of Operations. This includes responsibility for the management, planning, and administration of engineering and maintenance teams. Additionally, this individual provides technical leadership to major plant improvement projects often of an unusual or difficult nature.

The Engineering & Facilities Manager is responsible for leading the Manufacturing Engineering and Facilities Maintenance Teams and providing technical leadership in support of Operations. This includes responsibility for the management, planning, and administration of engineering and maintenance teams. Additionally, this individual provides technical leadership to major plant improvement projects often of an unusual or difficult nature.
Responsibilities
- Engaged leadership of the facility's technical and maintenance teams
- Utilize Parker Lean system to drive continuous improvement
- Determine customer requirements and analyze for compatibility with Parker Lord products and practices
- Lead/coordinate activities in support of major customer and new product introduction effort
- Develop and maintain production, maintenance, and facility & equipment systems and practices to assure customer satisfaction
- Lead and support site compliance audits (AS/ISO, NADCAP, Customer, etc.)
- Management of all CAPEX planning and spending for the facility
- Prepare detailed planning for major new products, providing direction to affected personnel to assure complete and timely implementation of the plans
- Lead/assist in manufacturing- related training of team members and the development of appropriate training materials
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical/Industrial Engineering or related discipline
- Five + years of related experience
- Experience in project or team leadership
- Detailed knowledge of manufacturing processes and related process controls along with materials
- Ability to meet FAA requirements
- Demonstrated computer literacy
- Ability to become proficient in the application of statistical analysis and lean manufacturing
- Ability to work independent of direct supervision
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment with demonstrated strong leadership of team members
- Ability to effectively communicate with leadership and team members
- Demonstrated effort toward self-improvement by gaining new knowledge/skills and accepting new assignments
- Demonstrated ability to assume increasing responsibility
- Ability to read, understand, and follow written and/or verbal procedures, processes, and instructions
- Advanced degree in a related Engineering field or business
- Ten years of related experience
- Five + years of team leadership
