Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Workday Analyst to support the configuration, maintenance, and optimization of our Workday platform following a recent Go Live implementation in July. This hybrid role offers an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge HR technology in a stable, established organization that values innovation and continuous improvement. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with HR, IT, and business stakeholders to ensure our Workday system meets organizational needs and best practices. You'll have the opportunity to make a significant impact on how the organization manages its workforce data and processes, while working in an environment that supports professional growth and development. This role reports to a Senior Manager and exists due to a recent internal promotion, offering excellent advancement potential.
You'll be working with a team that values expertise in Workday functionality and appreciates candidates who bring deep implementation experience and a non-consulting background. The role requires someone who thrives in a collaborative environment and is excited about optimizing HR technology to support business objectives.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Configure and maintain Workday modules and PATT to align with business requirements and best practices
- Demonstrate expertise in configuring and troubleshooting Workday Business Process, Condition rules, Eligibility Rules, and EIB
- Support mass change imports using Workday EIBs
- Engage with Workday Community to understand current trends and upcoming feature updates
- Provide expert technical input in selecting optional features and system enhancements
- Deliver subject matter expertise on key business processes and recommend best practices for Workday functionality
- Manage and maintain data integrity within the Workday system, including data imports, exports, and regular audits
- Provide end-user support by troubleshooting issues, answering questions, and delivering training on Workday functionalities
- Develop and maintain custom reports and dashboards to provide insights and support decision-making processes
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and system enhancements in collaboration with stakeholders
- Ensure Workday system compliance with all relevant regulations and internal policies
- Create and maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, processes, and procedures
- Support HCM and Benefits modules within the Workday platform
Required Experience/Skills
- Bachelor's degree in information technology, human resources, business administration, or related field
- Three or more years of hands-on experience working with Workday or similar HRIS platforms
- Proven experience with Workday Extend (required)
- Demonstrated experience with Workday Prism (required)
- Strong implementation experience with Workday systems
- Proficiency in Workday configuration, reporting, and data management
- Strong understanding of HR processes and best practices
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to analyze complex data and provide actionable insights
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, including ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy in data management and reporting
- Good tenure in previous roles (2-3 years preferred per position)
Nice-to-Haves
- Workday certification highly preferred
- Experience working with PeopleSoft systems
- Background in non-consulting environments preferred
- Personal interest in HR technology and process optimization
- Experience with supply chain or retail industry operations
- Familiarity with regulatory compliance in HR systems
- Experience training end-users on enterprise software platforms
Education
Bachelor's degree in information technology, human resources, business administration, or a related field required.
