Strategic Staffing Solutions is currently looking for a Business Systems Analyst (GIS/Utility) for a W2 contract opportunity with one of our largest clients!

Title: Business Systems Analyst (GIS/Utility)
Location: Denver, CO / Minneapolis, MN / Fully Remote
Duration: 12 Months
Pay Rate: $65.00-$70.00/hour on W2
Work Environment
Location: Open to candidates in Denver, Minneapolis, or fully remote.
Team Culture: Supportive, collaborative, and fast-paced.
Work Hours: Core hours are 8 AM 3 PM CST, with flexibility.
Travel: Minimal (approx. 10%), reimbursed at cost.

Ideal Candidate Profile
Experience: 4 6 years in a large, matrixed corporate environment; utility and GIS experience strongly preferred.

Position Overview
This is a growth-based role supporting the Operations Capital Delivery Team within the company. The Systems Business Analyst II will primarily support GIS-related capital projects, including enhancement requests and incremental improvements. The role is designed to fill a gap between business stakeholders and developers by translating business needs into actionable requirements.

Key Responsibilities
Gather and document functional and non-functional requirements.
Conduct research and define user stories for enhancement requests.
Partner with product owners to vet and prioritize incoming requests.
Collaborate with developers to ensure clarity and completeness of requirements.
Assist with ULC governance processes and QA coordination.
May support projects like GIS mapping enhancements and other operations software initiatives.

Skills:
Strong written and verbal communication.
Ability to manage multiple assignments (2 3 initially, scaling to 3 5).
Proficiency in JIRA and Excel.
Comfortable working in an agile or hybrid methodology.
Self-starter with strong time management and collaboration skills.
Education: No specific degree required; commensurate experience is acceptable.
Certifications: None required.

Interview Process
Format: Virtual via Microsoft Teams.
Rounds: One to two rounds, 30 minutes each.
Panel: 2 3 participants.
