Job Description: Unix Administrator- L3
Work Location: Alpharetta, GA (Work from office 2-3 days a week)
FTE- 65K-75K

Key responsibilities:
System Administration:
- Install, configure, and maintain Linux operating systems on servers and devices.
- Monitor system performance, ensure the reliability and availability of systems, identify bottlenecks, and implement performance tuning strategies.
- Perform regular system updates, patches, and security configurations.
- Monitor server performance
Security Management:
- Implement and enforce security best practices to protect OT systems from cyber threats.
- Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.
- Manage user access controls and permissions.
Troubleshooting and Support:
- Provide technical support for Linux systems, including troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
- Respond to incidents and outages, working to resolve them promptly to minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with vendors and external support teams as needed.
Automation and Scripting:
- Develop and maintain scripts for automating routine tasks and system maintenance.
- Utilize configuration management tools to streamline system deployments and updates.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of system configurations, procedures, and policies.
- Generate regular reports on system performance, security, and compliance.
Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with team members and cross functional teams to ensure seamless integration, operation of systems and resolution of incidents.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders to understand requirements and provide updates on system status.
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
- Bachelor s Degree with minimum 7-8 years of hands-on experience and general knowledge of Linux and general Unix operating systems concepts as well as systems administration experience
Qualifications
- Ability to understand application scaling issues related to problem resolution, algorithm choice.
- Familiar in multi-factor authentication platforms and solutions, and Identity Management such as OpenID, LDAP, and Kerberos.
- Security implementations using multi-factor authentication, PKI, or Kerberos and Unix
OS hardening to meet standards.
- Experience with supporting Apache Web Server
- Experience with Red Hat Identity Manager
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to develop and maintain documentation on system administration procedures for routine and complex tasks
- Strong problem-solving skills and a results-oriented approach to project delivery.
- Ability to adjust quickly, adapt to changing priorities and take initiative and own the task.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent communications skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work well independently and as part of a team and with strong organization skills.
