Job Details

Position Summary:

Our Client is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead software development and infrastructure projects supporting state education systems. This role involves managing Agile teams through the full SDLC, ensuring on-time, high-quality delivery aligned with strategic and legislative goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead Agile software projects and manage project scope, timelines, and budgets

  • Ensure high-quality deliverables and stakeholder satisfaction

  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams and provide vision for project direction

  • Identify risks, resolve issues, and drive team performance

  • Maintain process consistency and compliance with agency standards

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 8+ years managing software projects using SDLC, PMLC, and Agile/Scrum

  • Strong leadership and stakeholder communication skills

  • Scrum Master and/or PMI certification preferred

  • Preferred experience with Power BI and Data Lake

  • Understanding of school finance or state tax laws a plus

Work Details:

  • Monday Friday, 8 AM 5 PM CT (some weekend/evening work may be required)

  • Fully remote; travel not expected

  • Time and materials engagement; TEA timesheet system used for tracking

  • TEA retains ownership of all work products
