Job Details

A globally leading technology company is looking for a Product Design CAD Engineer to contribute to the development of groundbreaking consumer electronics. In this role you will leverage your expertise in design, materials, and manufacturing to play a key role in shaping the success of new products. Your responsibilities will include creating 2D and 3D CAD models, collaborating with vendors to finalize DFM, reviewing part designs, prototyping concepts, and performing lab testing. Proficiency with NX CAD and the use of tools like the Instron will be essential in informing, testing, and validating product designs. Job Responsibilities:
Design next generation parts/cables.
Driving the vendor to converge on approved DFM for our parts/cables.
Reviewing drawings and data as needed.
Prototyping designs.
Providing recommendations for design improvements and iterating on the design quickly & collaboratively.
Minimum Qualifications:
BSME with at least 2-5 years of product design experience (preferably working experience in consumer electronics product design).
Fluent in using NX 2D/3D.
Desire to work in a fast-paced environment with passion for creating cutting edge products.
Proficiency with tools like the Instron.
Ability to execute tasks quickly.
Demonstrated experience in working collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Excellent written/verbal communication skills.
Good grasp on electrical fundamentals.

Type: Contract
Duration: 6 months (with a possibility for extension)
Work Location: Cupertino, CA (On-site)
Pay rate: $58.00 - $73.00 (DOE)
