Position Summary...

What you'll do...
Join our Fraud Technology team as a Director, Software Engineering, where you'll lead the newly formed Solutions & Integration Engineering team. In this strategic and hands-on role, you'll architect and deliver scalable, secure, and maintainable fraud prevention systems that protect the customer journey from emerging threats. Your work will directly impact customer trust and business resilience.

About Team:

The Fraud Technology team builds and maintains the systems that safeguard our customers and business from fraud and abuse. We design and deliver intelligent, end-to-end solutions that integrate machine learning, real-time decisioning, and robust APIs. Our mission is to stay ahead of evolving fraud tactics while ensuring seamless and secure customer experiences. As part of a cross-functional organization, we collaborate closely with Data Science, ML Research, Product, and Platform teams to deliver high-impact, production-grade solutions.

What you will do
  • Lead and scale a high-performing engineering team focused on fraud gateway components, API development, and integration frameworks.
  • Architect and evolve core fraud solutions including sign-in/sign-up flows, payment and returns risk modules, and customer identity services.
  • Drive modernization initiatives such as database migrations, feature store enhancements, and backend development for case management.
  • Partner with Data Science, ML Research, and Platform teams to integrate models and features into production systems.
  • Collaborate with Product to define roadmaps and scope use cases that maximize fraud risk coverage and operational efficiency.
  • Establish and monitor performance metrics (latency, accuracy, throughput) to ensure system reliability and rapid incident resolution.
  • Enhance developer tooling, automation pipelines, and onboarding processes for new use cases and geographies.
  • Champion cloud cost optimization and infrastructure efficiency across solution deployments.
  • Evaluate and integrate emerging technologies, including agentic AI, to improve fraud detection velocity and reduce manual workload.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, ownership, and continuous improvement across engineering and cross-functional teams.

What you will bring
  • 10+ years of software engineering experience, including 5+ years leading teams responsible for distributed, customer-facing fraud or security systems.
  • Deep expertise in building scalable API services, microservices architectures, and event-driven streaming platforms.
  • Experience in fraud detection, identity resolution, or payment risk domains is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Azure) and best practices for resilient, cost-effective infrastructure.
  • Proficiency in CI/CD, automation, and monitoring tools to ensure high-quality software delivery.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Passion for building secure, reliable, and user-friendly systems that directly impact customer trust and business growth.

The annual salary range for this position is $169,000.00-$338,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.

Minimum Qualifications...

Option 2: 8 years' experience in software engineering or related area.
