Job Details

  • We are seeking a hands-on Oracle Fusion / OCI Architect to lead and execute critical financial integration work for an enterprise acquisition.
  • 6+ Months REMOTE role
  • This individual will be responsible for standing up and operationalizing a robust data-ingestion and reporting architecture in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and Fusion Financials, ensuring the acquiring entity has Day-1 access to complete, accurate, and auditable financial data.
  • This is not a conceptual or advisory role the architect must be able to design, build, and deliver. The work will involve brute-force extraction and transformation in the near term, with a path toward establishing a sustainable, automated solution thereafter.

Key Responsibilities

1. Architecture & Integration Design

  • Architect end-to-end financial data-ingestion and integration flows between Oracle Fusion and OCI Autonomous Transaction Processing (ATP).
  • Define data-movement patterns (extract, transform, load) to re-ingest financial data and currency balances between systems.
  • Establish and document ingestion frameworks that can evolve toward automation post-acquisition.

2. Hands-On Technical Development

  • Develop and optimize OIC (Oracle Integration Cloud) integrations, Fusion Extracts, and ATP ingestion processes.
  • Build and tune queries, reports, and data pipelines to support daily re-evaluations, exchange-rate handling, and financial consolidation.
  • Design, deploy, and validate schemas and APIs in ATP, ensuring they can scale to large-volume financial extracts.
  • Create or enhance Fusion BI Publisher / OTBI reports as needed to enable day-one financial visibility.

3. Financial Domain Expertise

  • Apply deep understanding of Fusion Financials (GL, AP, AR, FA, CM) and enterprise financial structures (Chart of Accounts, functional vs. reporting currencies, re-valuation processes, and exchange-rate management).
  • Ensure all financial data extracts and transformations adhere to audit and compliance standards no brute-force shortcuts that compromise reconciliation or traceability.
  • Work closely with Finance, Accounting, and Enterprise Data teams to interpret business requirements without extensive accounting translation.

4. Transition & Stabilization

  • Stand up a repeatable extraction and reporting environment capable of supporting audit requirements.
  • Collaborate with internal enterprise architects to transition from the initial brute-force ingestion to a sustainable, production-grade integration model.
  • Mentor other developers and data engineers as the environment matures.
