Job Title: Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET)

Location: Dallas, TX

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented SDET (Software Development Engineer in Test) to design, develop, and maintain automated testing solutions. As an SDET, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of software applications through automated testing, test framework development, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement scalable test automation frameworks for web, API, and mobile applications.

  • Write clean, maintainable, and reusable test scripts in languages like Java, Python, JavaScript, etc.

  • Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and QA to define and execute test strategies.

  • Create, maintain, and execute functional, regression, integration, and performance test suites.

  • Identify bugs and issues early in the development cycle using CI/CD pipelines.

  • Analyze test results and provide actionable feedback.

  • Contribute to code reviews and maintain code quality standards in test automation.

  • Work with tools like Selenium, Appium, TestNG, JUnit, RestAssured, Postman, etc.

  • Participate in sprint planning, retrospectives, and daily stand-ups.


Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

  • Strong programming skills in at least one language (Java, Python, JavaScript, etc.).

  • Experience with test automation tools like Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright.

  • Knowledge of RESTful APIs and tools like Postman or RestAssured.

  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab, or Azure DevOps.

  • Solid understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.

  • Experience with test management tools like JIRA, TestRail, or Zephyr.


Preferred Skills:

  • Exposure to performance/load testing tools (e.g., JMeter, Gatling).

  • Knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud environments (AWS, Azure).

  • Experience in BDD tools like Cucumber or SpecFlow.
