Job Details

We are seeking a motivated and skilled VMware Administrator with strong experience in Windows Server administration and foundational knowledge of Microsoft Azure. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing, supporting, and optimizing our virtual infrastructure, ensuring high availability, performance, and security across on-premises and cloud environments.
Key Responsibilities
  • Administer and maintain VMware vSphere environments, including ESXi hosts, vCenter, virtual machines, clusters, and storage configurations.
  • Perform provisioning, patching, and lifecycle management of virtual machines and templates.
  • Manage and support Windows Server environments (2016/2019/2022) Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and file/print services.
  • Collaborate with network and storage teams to ensure optimal performance and capacity planning of virtual and physical infrastructure.
  • Support Azure IaaS and hybrid integrations, including VM deployment, Azure Arc, and hybrid identity using Azure AD Connect.
  • Support backup, recovery, and DR processes using tools such as Cohesity, or Azure Backup.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve performance, connectivity, and configuration issues in virtualized and cloud environments.
  • Maintain detailed documentation, work instructions, and infrastructure diagrams.
  • Participate in on-call rotation and after-hours maintenance as required.
  • Identify opportunities to automate recurring tasks using PowerShell or other scripting tools.
Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in VMware administration (vSphere, ESXi, vCenter).
  • Strong background in Windows Server administration (Active Directory, Group Policy, patching, and hardening).
  • Experience managing Azure resources (VMs, virtual networks, storage accounts, hybrid connectivity).
  • Working knowledge of PowerShell scripting and automation.
  • Experience with backup, monitoring, and patch management tools.
  • Familiarity with networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, VLANs, DNS, routing).
  • Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.
  • Preferred Qualifications
  • VMware Certified Professional (VCP-DCV) or equivalent certification.
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104).
  • Experience with Azure Migrate or hybrid cloud migration scenarios.
  • Exposure to Infrastructure-as-Code tools (Terraform, ARM templates, or Bicep).
  • Familiarity with security and compliance best practices for virtual and cloud infrastructure.
