Job Title: Senior Architect
Location: Marion, IN (100% Onsite Local candidates preferred or must be within driving distance)
Schedule: Monday Friday, 8 AM 5 PM
Employment Type: Full-Time
Compensation: Competitive salary + Yearly Bonus + Profit Sharing
Retirement Plan: Simple IRA with employer match
Must-Have Qualifications:
- Bachelor s degree in Architecture (or Structural Engineering with design experience)
- 10+ years of professional experience (licensed preferred) OR 15+ years without a license
- Strong background in construction & preparation of construction documents
- Recent hands-on experience with Revit
- Field experience: must understand how buildings go together on-site
- Willingness to mentor younger team members
- Ability to work onsite in Marion, IN every weekday
Nice-to-Have Qualifications:
- Licensed Architect or Structural Engineer
- Experience working on nonprofit projects (churches, libraries, schools, healthcare, housing)
- Familiarity with bidding and procurement processes for nonprofit clients
- Willingness to commute from a nearby location if not local
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the development of construction documents and bids
- Serve nonprofit clients through the full design-build lifecycle
- Mentor and train younger architects with strong drafting skills but limited field knowledge
- Ensure that designs are not only aesthetically sound but buildable and cost-effective
- Participate in site visits, contractor meetings, and troubleshooting
- Collaborate closely with current leadership and position yourself for a future Limited Partner role
