JD:
The IT OT Team in Hillsboro is supporting Hillsboro Technical Operations (HTO) which is the commercial Make Assess and Release (MAR) and launch site for North America and Hillsboro Individualized and Cell Therapies (HIT) which is transitioning into a multi-product facility for development, clinical and commercial supply capabilities for individualized and cell therapies.
As IT OT Infrastructure & Services Engineer, you will be responsible for disaster recovery & business continuity documentation and testing services for the local Manufacturing Infrastructure and act as the key contact for the Global Teams delivering and operating the Global Infrastructure. In partnering the site your focus is always on Make Assess Release (MAR) in alignment with site priorities as well as demand originating from Projects.
Responsibilities:
Developing Disaster Recovery Plans: Collaborate with stakeholders to create comprehensive disaster recovery plans tailored to the organization's needs. These plans outline procedures for business continuity, data recovery, and the restoration of critical functions following a disaster. Plans may include detailed communication strategies, resource allocation, and personnel responsibilities.
Business Impact Analysis: Perform business impact analyses to understand the potential consequences of disruptions to different business functions. This analysis helps prioritize recovery efforts and allocate resources effectively during and after a disaster.
Monitoring and Testing: Regularly monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of disaster recovery plans. Conduct periodic testing and simulations to identify areas for improvement and ensure that systems and personnel are prepared for actual emergencies.
Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed documentation of disaster recovery plans, actions taken during emergencies, and lessons learned from each incident. Provide comprehensive reports to leadership and stakeholders, highlighting successes and areas for improvement in the recovery process.
Continuous Improvement: Stay informed about emerging threats, technologies, and best practices in disaster recovery. Proactively update recovery plans to incorporate lessons learned, industry standards, and advancements in technology to enhance overall resilience.
Risk Assessment: Conduct thorough risk assessments to identify potential vulnerabilities and assess the impact of various disasters on the organization. This includes evaluating both natural and man-made threats, such as floods, earthquakes, cybersecurity breaches, and other potential crises.
Works with management to define appropriate engineering standards, policies, procedures, software toolsets, and supporting peripherals to facilitate the management, accountability and functionality of system/databases and applications.
Perform all duties and responsibilities in accordance with current standard operating procedures (SOP) and department procedures.
Develop and maintain GMP/Non-GMP design documentation and engineering diagrams.
Qualifications / Requirements:
Bachelor s degree in Emergency and Disaster Management, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
A minimum of 5 years Disaster Recovery & Business Continuity experience involved in the design, implementation, and/or testing, preferably in a regulated (Pharmaceutical) industry.
Specialized certifications related to disaster recovery and business continuity a plus
Technical Skills: Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, backup and recovery technologies, and data management.
Problem-Solving: Ability to analyze complex situations and develop effective solutions.
Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate with stakeholders.
Project Management: Ability to coordinate and manage recovery efforts across multiple teams and departments.
Leadership: Ability to lead and motivate teams during crisis situations.
Risk Management: Understanding of risk assessment and mitigation strategies.
Experience with network switches and area control network.
Experience with imaging backup and recovery data protection software.
