Solugenix is seeking an experienced Middleware Engineer (RabbitMQ) for a full-time, hybrid position based in Irvine, CA.

We are seeking a highly experienced Middleware Engineer with strong expertise in RabbitMQ to join our Platform Engineering team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of messaging systems, pipeline orchestration, automation, and infrastructure management across hybrid cloud environments. This role requires a minimum of 8 years of experience with a focus on designing, implementing, and managing high-availability messaging and CI/CD systems.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 8+ years of experience in systems engineering or middleware roles.
• Extensive hands-on experience with RabbitMQ, including high-availability architecture, pub/sub models, work queues, and plugin configuration.
• Strong scripting and automation skills in Python, Bash, Shell, PowerShell, or Ansible.
• Excellent troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain high-availability RabbitMQ clusters with features like federation, mirrored queues, shovel plugins, and DLX.
• Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure and application deployment using tools like Jenkins, Bitbucket, and Bamboo.
• Troubleshoot and optimize messaging infrastructure performance, including tuning queue configurations, SSL/TLS setup, and scaling strategies.
• Manage and secure middleware infrastructure across on-prem and cloud platforms such as AWS.
• Lead upgrades, patching, and monitoring in complex 24/7 environments, ensuring resilience and disaster recovery readiness.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including DevOps, Infrastructure, and Security to implement best practices and incident resolution.
• Maintain technical documentation for middleware architecture, deployment guides, and DR procedures.

Pay Range for CA, CO, IL, NJ, NY, WA, and DC: $65/hour to $72/hour. Starting rate of pay offered may vary depending on factors including but not limited to, position offered, location, education, training, and/or experience.
