Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for a Remote Principal AI Business Support & Integration Consultant for a contract assignment with one of our premier Healthcare clients in Jacksonville, FL. This role will be remote.

Responsibilities :
As the Director of AI Governance & Business Integration, you will be responsible for enterprise-wide AI Governance, strategic implementation of AI technologies, and ensuring our use of Artificial Intelligence is safe, compliant, ethical, secure, and aligned with business value and enterprise-wide strategy.

As part of the AI Center of Excellence, you will collaborate with teams across the enterprise to align AI initiatives with business goals and priorities, facilitate integration and collaboration, and identify opportunities for AI-driven solutions. You will also oversee management, and adoption of a Responsible AI framework, partner with stakeholders to establish policies, rules, and standards and have ownership of the enterprise AI inventory, including intake, tracking, and portfolio management of AI solutions

This strategic and cross-functional role requires deep expertise in emerging AI regulations, risk management, and responsible AI practices. You will help drive consistent standards across the company while enabling innovation to flourish safely. To succeed, you must be highly facilitative, able to build executive-level relationships, and exhibit focus and flexibility in driving business outcomes. Your goal will be to enable a well-integrated, strategically aligned Responsible AI ecosystem within the Enterprise.
  • AI Governance & Risk Management (35%)
    • Evolve and lead the enterprise AI Governance Framework, encompassing policies, standards, and operating mechanisms for responsible and compliant AI use.
    • Develop and maintain AI risk management lifecycle, including risk taxonomies, assessment processes, and monitoring practices, aligned with regulatory expectations and enterprise risk appetite.
    • Oversee AI inventory management, including registration, risk scoring, model lifecycle tracking, and compliance reporting, and operationalize governance through tools, automation, dashboards, and workflow integrations.
    • Lead the operationalization of governance via tools, automation, dashboards, and workflow integrations.
  • Regulatory & Ethical Compliance (30%)
    • Partner with Legal, Compliance, Privacy, Cybersecurity, and Audit to translate regulatory requirements into actionable enterprise processes to ensure adherence to evolving AI laws, including global regulatory frameworks (e.g., EU AI Act, U.S. state regulations, federal guidance).
    • Lead documentation and audit readiness for internal and external examinations.
    • Partner with key stakeholders to conduct third-party AI vendor evaluation process, including model assessments, red-teaming recommendations, security reviews, and risk ratings.
    • Partner with technical team to evolve criteria for evaluating proprietary, open-source, and commercial large language models or AI services.
  • Enterprise Integration & Change Management (20%)
    • Establish, track, and report key metrics for AI adoption, effectiveness, and business impact to stakeholders.
    • Partners with stakeholders to evolve change management programs and continue to build on existing programs across business units to accelerate responsible AI adoption.
    • Embed governance processes into business workflows, technology pipelines, and product development lifecycles.
    • In partnership with stakeholders, identify and drive process improvements, efficiency gains, and measurable ROI from AI initiatives.
    • Partner with business units to ensure AI use cases align with strategic priorities, ethical standards, and operational readiness.
  • Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration (15%)
    • Represent the enterprise at external conferences, industry forums, and as a thought leader in responsible AI governance.
    • Foster partnerships with external organizations (academia, vendors, industry groups) and internal cross-functional teams to drive innovation and best practices.
    • Serve as a thought leader and trusted advisor to executives on enterprise AI risk posture and governance maturity.
    • Support the development of AI talent, upskilling programs, and fostering a culture of continuous learning.
Required Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, or related field required.
  • 10+ years related work experience
  • 10+ years of experience in risk management, governance, compliance, AI/ML, data, or enterprise technology leadership roles.
  • Strong understanding of AI/ML technologies, risks, and operational processes (LLMs, generative AI, model lifecycle management, model validation, etc.).
  • Expertise in regulatory and ethical aspects of AI, such as privacy, data security, discrimination/fairness, and explainability.
  • Proven success building enterprise-scale governance or risk programs.
  • Experience partnering with Legal, Compliance, Security, and executive leadership.
  • Excellent communication skills-able to influence at all levels, translate complexity into clarity, and drive cross-functional alignment.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to operationalize frameworks into practical workflows.
Preferred Skills:
  • Master's degree
  • Experience in healthcare, financial services, or other highly regulated industries is preferred.
