RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Mid-Senior WPF Software Engineer in Carlsbad, CA.

Summary:
The Software Engineer will work with the development team to create Windows PC based applications for medical device console with modern graphical user interface and underlying data communication, processing, storage and retrieving mechanism. The software engineer will also develop PC based applications for lab usage per engineering requests.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
* Develop Windows PC based GUI applications
* Create software modules to communicate with other hardware components with established protocols
* Create software modules for data storing and retrieving
* Generate data processing algorithms and applications
* Provide documentation suitable for design verification and validation
* Contribute to the Cryo project and other future initiatives
* Work on CI/CD pipelines and software tools for production
* Collaborate across software and hardware teams, not siloed work
* Other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS:
* B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science or equivalent degree
* Minimum 3 years of relevant experience
* Coursework or experience in the following areas: GUI design programming; Object oriented programming in C++ or equivalent; Algorithms; Computer communication
* Experience in C#, WPF and XAML with Microsoft Visual Studio
* Experience in SQL or NoSQL database
* Experience with Microsoft .NET framework
* Strong writing, documentation, and communication skills
* Must demonstrate a willingness to learn and expand beyond current skillset
* Should be open to hands-on work with hardware and collaboration with firmware engineers
* Ability to work in a fast paced, Agile environment
* Ability to work with engineers of different disciplines including electrical engineers, mechanical engineers, firmware engineers, etc.
* Multi-threading experience is a nice-to-have, but not required
* Medical device experience is not required, but considered a plus

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
