Role: ServiceNow Technical Architect
Location: Remote
Position Type: Contract
Job Summary:
The ServiceNow Technical Architect is responsible for designing and overseeing the implementation of scalable, secure, and high-performing solutions on the ServiceNow platform. This role bridges business needs with technical execution, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture and strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Architectural Design & Strategy
- Define and design high-level architecture for ServiceNow solutions across modules like ITSM, ITOM, HRSD, CSM, FSM, and SPM.
- Develop architectural blueprints, standards, and best practices.
- Align ServiceNow architecture with enterprise IT strategy and digital transformation goals.
- Technical Leadership
- Provide guidance and mentorship to developers and implementation teams.
- Ensure adherence to architectural standards and coding best practices.
- Lead technical design sessions and code reviews.
- Solution Implementation
- Oversee the development and deployment of ServiceNow applications and custom modules.
- Ensure solutions are scalable, reliable, and secure.
- Lead complex integrations using REST/SOAP APIs, OAuth, SAML, and middleware platforms.
- Stakeholder Engagement
- Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Present architectural decisions and roadmaps to executives, including CIOs and CTOs.
- Conduct workshops, demos, and technical presentations.
- Governance & Compliance
- Establish governance frameworks for ServiceNow development and deployment.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and internal policies.
- Maintain detailed documentation including design specs, workflows, and technical guidelines.
- Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 7+ years of experience in IT, with 3+ years in a ServiceNow architect role.
- Deep knowledge of ServiceNow platform architecture and modules.
- Strong experience with JavaScript, Glide, Flow Designer, and IntegrationHub.
- ServiceNow certifications such as:
- Certified System Administrator (CSA)
- Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) Certified Application Developer (CAD) Certified Technical Architect (CTA) (preferred) Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
