Job Description:

<>POSITION OVERVIEW</>
  • The Infrastructure Engineer will be a key contributor to the Technology & Information Architectures team, focusing specifically on the administration and maintenance of IBM i (AS/400) systems. This role ensures the integrity, performance, and security of critical systems through daily monitoring, maintenance, and technical support.
<>DAY-TO-DAY RESPONSIBILITIES</>
  • Perform IBM i administration, including system installs, PTF deployment, and HMC maintenance.
  • Perform system firmware, software installation, configuration, and security requirements.
  • Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems, and key processes.
  • Review system logs, application logs, and verify the successful completion of scheduled jobs, such as backups.
  • Perform problem isolation, definition, resolution, and follow-up for system, application, and customer problems.
  • Provide monthly reporting regarding system performance and assist with capacity planning
  • Maintain 3rd party software applications and participate in Disaster Recovery testing.
