Job Description:

Apex Systems is looking to hire an ONSITE Product Project Manager for our client based out of Greensboro, NC.

This assignment is anticipated to be a --12 month contract with strong potential for extension; however, Apex Systems cannot guarantee the length of this assignment.

This will also have a first shift Monday-Friday schedule.

Responsibilities:

• Focusing on designing, communicating, and implementing an operational plan for completing an engineering-based project in the manufacturing & industrialization area
• Preparing designs, project controls and specifications, schedules, cost estimates, production, transportation, installation, testing and/or commissioning of new infrastructure, facilities, equipment, etc.
• Monitoring progress and performance against the project plan; taking action to resolve operational problems and minimize delays
• Identifying, developing, and gathering the resources necessary to complete the project
• May include preparing engineering standards, designs and work specifications; developing project schedules, budgets and forecasts; and selecting materials, equipment, project staff, and external contractors.
• Manage projects or subprojects with limited complexity within a program or portfolio, from initiation to completion.
• Have full responsibility for defining and managing scope, cost, schedule, quality and risks - and to deliver on agreed project objectives.

Experience:

• Bachelors degree in Manufacturing or industrial Engineering required: Master's degree preferred
• 4+ years of relevant experience performing in a Project Manager role, with projects driven from initiation to successful implementation
• PMP is a plus
• Knowledge and experience in SAFe Agile
• Experience in working in operations is preferred
• Excellent interpersonal, coordination, and written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrated experience in risk and change management
• Ability to oversee, coordinate, and juggle multiple tasks and meet tough deadlines
• Strong abilities in priority setting and problem solving
• Good negotiation skills
• Good planning, anticipation, and proactivity skills
