Description

We are currently seeking a highly skilled Data Migration Specialist to spearhead our data migration activities for an ERP implementation and related strategic initiatives. This role will support the migration of all operational data from source to target systems. This role requires a deep understanding of data migration processes, including data extraction, mapping, transformation, and validation. The ideal candidate will be strategic and hands-on, ensuring our data is complete and accurate in accordance with project requirements.

- Spearhead the data migration workstream, ensuring accuracy, collaboration, timeliness, and efficiency.

- Lead and communicate data validation activities, monitor data quality, and coordinate remediation plans to maintain the accuracy and consistency of integrated data.

- Manage deliverables in accordance with the project plan to ensure a successful cutover and timely go-live.

- Partner with technical and functional leads, both internal and external, to align migration activities with business objectives.

- Develop detailed documentation of data migration processes, decisions, and configurations to meet compliance and training requirements.

- Maintain work plans, status updates, and bug fixes within Microsoft DevOps.

- Contribute to the review, development, and maintenance of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), ensuring data practices adhere to organizational standards and requirements.

- Review and improve existing master data interfaces to eliminate or mitigate master data issues in downstream systems.

- Effectively collaborate with stakeholders by translating technical terminology and processes.

- Contribute to the development of a comprehensive data warehouse solution.

Qualifications:

- Minimum of 5 years in a data-centric role, with a focus on data migration and validation.

- Experience in writing SQL query statements and Python would be nice to have, particularly with cleansing and transforming large datasets.

- Technical, data migration experience for an ERP implementation or upgrade is required, with Microsoft D365 Finance & Operations being highly preferred.

- Excellent problem-solving abilities, time management skills, and attention to detail.

- Experience creating and maintaining tasks in Microsoft DevOps is highly preferred.

- Experience achieving complex data management objectives through all phases of the project lifecycle including initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closure, is preferred.

- Proven experience in extracting, analyzing, and validating data to ensure completeness and accuracy.

- Experience with large-scale, cross functional initiatives is preferred.

- Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written, with various levels of management, is required.

- Expertise with the Microsoft Office Suite is required, including the use of Microsoft Excel for data analyses.
