ServiceNow Project Manager (Asset Management)

Job Title: Assessment Project Manager / Sr. Business Analyst ServiceNow Asset Management & Architecture
Location: Austin, TX Onsite (4-5 days a week)

Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Assessment Project Manager to lead a strategic evaluation and re-architecture of our ServiceNow environment, with the primary focus on the ServiceNow Asset Management Software Module. This role will guide the organization in modernizing its asset management capabilities specifically for network and infrastructure assets while aligning with the Common Services Data Model (CSDM). The ideal candidate will evaluate our heavily customized ServiceNow instance, assess its integration with platforms like PeopleSoft and Azure, and deliver actionable recommendations to streamline governance, improve efficiency, and enable long-term scalability.

Key Responsibilities:
* Lead a comprehensive assessment project focused on the ServiceNow Asset Management Software Module, identifying current pain points and opportunities for optimization.
* Evaluate the impact of existing ServiceNow customizations on asset management performance and Out-of-Box capabilities.
* Define a roadmap to re-architect the ServiceNow instance in alignment with the Common Services Data Model (CSDM).
* Collaborate closely with the Infrastructure & Operations teams to understand requirements for end-to-end asset lifecycle tracking particularly for network and infrastructure assets.
* Identify and recommend the appropriate ServiceNow modules to support the future state architecture, with Asset Management as the central component.
* Assess and improve IT governance processes, with a focus on increasing efficiency and clarity during the assessment phase.
* Support and guide integration planning for PeopleSoft and Azure Cloud Platform within the ServiceNow environment.
* Translate business requirements into clear technical goals and project deliverables for the ServiceNow platform team.
* Communicate findings, roadmaps, and status updates effectively to cross-functional stakeholders, including executives and technical staff.

Required Qualifications:
* 8+ years of experience in IT Project Management, Program Management, or Business Analysis roles.
* Strong expertise in IT Asset Management, with direct experience assessing or implementing ServiceNow Asset Management Software Module.
* Experience in re-architecting or modernizing heavily customized ServiceNow instances.
* Familiarity with ServiceNow architecture, with the ability to guide strategic decisions even without hands-on administration.
* Working knowledge of Common Services Data Model (CSDM) and its role in effective ServiceNow deployments.
* Experience managing or supporting PeopleSoft-ServiceNow integrations and Azure-based service environments.
* Proven success driving governance efficiency improvements in complex IT environments.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to lead discussions across both technical and business teams.
* Hands-on familiarity with ServiceNow modules such as IT Asset Management (ITAM), CMDB, Discovery, or Service Mapping.

Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience modernizing or re-architecting heavily customized ServiceNow instances.
* Familiarity with other relevant ServiceNow modules such as CMDB, Discovery, or Service Mapping.
* Certifications in PMP, SAFe, Agile, or ITIL are a plus.
