RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Junior Release Manager to work in their Charlotte office. This role will be hybrid (4 days in office and 1 day remote, or 5 days a week with less experience).
Summary:
As a Junior Release Manager on the Operations team, you will play a crucial role in supporting and learning the release management processes for our data warehouse and ETL solutions. This position is ideal for individuals looking to grow their career in a dynamic data environment. The Junior Release Manager will work closely with development, operations, and quality assurance teams to help ensure successful and timely delivery of data warehouse enhancements and ETL updates.
Responsibilities
* Release Planning Assistance: Assist in coordinating release schedules, gathering requirements, and preparing release documentation
* Release Process Support: Support deployment execution, ensure process adherence, and learn to identify and mitigate risks
* Monitoring & Reporting: Track release progress, participate in post-release reviews, and provide updates to stakeholders
* Collaboration & Communication: Facilitate communication between teams and collaborate with technical staff
* Continuous Learning & Improvement: Maintain understanding of systems and proactively learn new tools and methodologies
REQUIREMENTS:
* Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science
* Experience: Some experience or exposure to data warehouse concepts, ETL processes, and project management is beneficial
* Technical Skills: Basic understanding of SQL, exposure to scripting languages, and familiarity with version control systems are desirable
* Soft Skills: Strong communication, organizational skills, attention to detail, and a desire to learn are important
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
