Job Details

Job Title : Tanium Administrator

Location : Long Beach, CA 

Duration : 12+ Months

 

Key Responsibilities:

Tanium Platform Management:

  • Install, configure, and maintain the Tanium platform components (Tanium Server, Tanium Console, Tanium Connect, etc.).
  • Administer the daily operations of Tanium, including upgrades, patches, and troubleshooting.
  • Be versatile and able to troubleshoot with Networking issues if the device is not connecting to the console Be able to Troubleshoot client issues and Tanium Module issues.

 

System Monitoring & Maintenance:

  • Monitor Tanium servers and agents to ensure proper functionality, high availability, and minimal downtime.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues related to Tanium performance and security.
  • Monitor Modules such as patch, comply, deploy etc and troubleshoot tools issue to ensure compliance.

 

Security & Compliance:

  • Manage and enforce security policies through Tanium to ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., PCI-DSS, HIPAA).
  • Implement Tanium's patch management and vulnerability management capabilities.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting:
  • Configure and manage Tanium s data collection for asset inventory, patch status, and security compliance.
  • Create and generate custom reports and dashboards for various IT and security stakeholders.
  • Ability to create sensors and boards for monitoring of all tools compliance

 

Collaboration & Support:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., Network, Security, and Systems Administrators) to integrate Tanium with other IT management tools.
  • Provide guidance and training to teams on best practices for using Tanium effectively.
  • Act as the point of contact for escalated Tanium issues, troubleshooting, and requests.

 

Documentation & Best Practices:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation for Tanium installations, configurations, and processes.
  • Develop and update operational procedures and manuals for Tanium deployment and management.
  • Be able to manage RBAC and assist in fulfilment of requests.

 

Certifications:

  • Having a Tanium Certified Administrator(TCA) is a plus
