Business Analyst

M9 Solutions is seeking a Business Analyst to work hybrid remote/on-site on a government contract for a client located in Washington, DC.An active Top Secret/SCI clearance is required.Responsibilities

• Ensure the client's IT products meet customer needs and align with business goals.
• Support the project and leadership by identifying, eliciting, and decomposing requirements.
• Facilitate team and customer ceremonies and foster effective communication, both verbally and through written artifacts and documentation.
• Continuously evolve an Agile and DevSecOps environment, requiring proactively adapt and contribute to the organization's maturation process.
• Deepen and broaden the team's impact through the delivery of innovative, desirable, and mission critical software products.
• Analyze and understand business needs and translate into the governance artifacts and product backlog items.
• Perform analysis of alternatives (AoAs) and assess courses of action by a variety of factors to include value, cost, feasibility, and risk.
• Perform estimation and complexity assessments of customer IT requests.
• Create and manage conceptual delivery schedules and product roadmaps.
• Generate and manage artifacts and knowledge bases, body of evidence generation and submissions.
• Assist in test planning and management.
• Facilitate and refine team level ceremonies.
• Identify, map, and track dependencies internal and external to the team.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient product development and delivery.
• Utilize product management tools such as Jira, Confluence, and M365 to accomplish daily duties.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Work Authorization: ship is required.
• An active Top Secret/SCI clearance is required.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in lieu of degree.
• Knowledge of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and popular backend and frontend technologies.
• 2 years of experience working on, or in direct support of a software development team or in an enterprise architecture organization.
• Experience working in Agile and Scrum methodologies.
• Familiarity with Cloud environments, particularly AWS.
• Experience with Confluence, Jira, and Microsoft 365 suite.
• Experience in backlog management, including Epic, Feature, user story development, and refinement.
• Experience with project cost estimations, project planning, solutions focused, project experience, presentations, reporting, project management, technical documentation, Jira, and cross-functional teamwork.
• Knowledge with enterprise architecture, business enterprise architecture, product backlog management, agile scrum, dependency management, change and risk management, AWS, SDLC, software development lifecycle, AoA, effective team communication, requirements elicitation, and user research.
• Strong written, verbal, non-verbal communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment and build strong relationships with team members.

• M9 Solutions' pay range for this position is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include, but are not limited to, responsibilities of the position, education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, as well as internal equity, location, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
