Top Global Tech Company Seeking Production Designer - Design Systems & Figma Specialist
This role supports the scaling of product design through asset creation, design system maintenance, and Figma optimization. The ideal candidate is a highly skilled designer with deep expertise in Figma and a passion for efficient, scalable design systems.
Key Responsibilities
Design Systems
Build and maintain design system libraries, including components, layouts, templates, and icon assets
Manage system variables, primitives, and foundational design elements
Coordinate with central design systems teams to resolve overlaps and ensure alignment
Conduct audits to ensure consistency and quality across surfaces
Publish and maintain documentation to support system adoption
Figma Operations
Develop and enforce best practices for file structure, templates, and organization
Leverage Figma features and plugins to improve design efficiency and quality
Provide guidance and support to designers on Figma usage and standards
Asset Production
Create and maintain high-quality UI assets for product, marketing, and communications
Translate business objectives and user needs into effective design solutions
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure consistency and execution quality
General Design Support
Offer case-by-case design consultation and support
Participate in design critiques and provide constructive feedback
Direct designers to appropriate resources or support channels as needed
Required Qualifications
8+ years of experience as a UX or production designer
Expert-level proficiency in Figma, including:
- Auto-layout and responsive design
- Components, variants, and nested components
- Styles, themes, and design systems
- Plugins, APIs, and integrations
- Collaboration tools and version control
Demonstrated experience with design systems and component libraries
Strong skills in asset creation, including knowledge of file formats, asset sizing, and pixel density
Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
High attention to detail and a commitment to design quality
A mindset for automation and efficiency in design workflows
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with front-end development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
Familiarity with motion design and prototyping tools
Deep understanding of Figma's limitations and roadmap (e.g., experience working at or closely with Figma)
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $70.00 - $80.00/hr.
