Job Title: Business Systems Analyst
Location: King of Prussia, PA (Hybrid Virtual interview; Face-to-Face may be required onsite)
Duration: 12+ Months Contract
Rate: $60/hr W2
End Client: Harsco Clean Earth
Experience Required: 11 15 Years
Work Authorization: Open for W2 candidates only

Position Overview:
Clean Earth, a division of Harsco, is seeking a highly experienced Business Systems Analyst to lead critical system analysis, documentation, and development initiatives. The ideal candidate will act as a key liaison between business and IT teams, helping design, enhance, and maintain systems especially legacy applications including FoxPro and integrate modern solutions using SQL and other technologies. This role will require strong technical acumen, business process insight, and experience managing legacy modernization projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work directly with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document detailed functional and technical requirements.
  • Conduct in-depth assessments of current systems, especially legacy applications (FoxPro), and identify improvement or modernization opportunities.
  • Design and develop system components using SQL, FoxPro, and potentially other development platforms.
  • Write, test, debug, and optimize code supporting both new and existing business functions.
  • Maintain and enhance legacy systems, ensuring they align with evolving business requirements.
  • Bridge the communication gap between business users and technical teams, ensuring clarity and consensus on deliverables.
  • Assist in planning and executing system implementations, migrations, and upgrades.
  • Develop technical documentation, workflow diagrams, data flow mappings, and user guides.
  • Perform system and integration testing; coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with business users.
  • Provide ongoing support, troubleshooting, and maintenance of business-critical applications.
  • Ensure compliance with internal development standards, version control practices, and security requirements.

Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • 11 15 years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst or similar role.
  • Strong expertise in:
    • SQL (complex queries, joins, optimization, scripting)
    • FoxPro or other legacy database systems
    • Business process analysis and system design
  • Proven experience in:
    • Supporting or modernizing legacy systems
    • Bridging business requirements with technical solutions
    • Functional documentation and workflow creation
  • Familiarity with modern SDLC methodologies, Agile practices, and change management.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for stakeholder engagement and technical documentation.
  • Ability to troubleshoot system issues, think critically, and provide structured resolutions.
  • Experience working in environmental services, manufacturing, or logistics industries is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prior experience working in ERP environments or integrating with legacy ERPs.
  • Knowledge of additional scripting languages or reporting tools.
  • Familiarity with data migration and legacy-to-modern system transition projects.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (preferred).
