Technical Product Owner

Our West Michigan Client has a contract opportunity for a Technical Product Owner who will take ownership of applications as well as be responsible for working with software developers/ engineers and architects to provide consultative guidance and direction to the team. This role can be remote, located in or near Michigan.

• Collaborating with prospective users and clients to understand and anticipate their needs and translate them into product requirements
• Working with the department leadership to define the vision for the team's product
• Creating a product road map based on this vision
• Managing the product backlog and prioritizing them based on changing requirements
• Overseeing all stages of product creation including design and development
• Developing user stories
• Monitoring and evaluating product progress at each stage of the process
• Liaising with the product team and end-users to deliver updates
• Participating in Scrum meetings and product sprints
• Owning quality and test quality for the teams work

• Technical Product Owner experience
• Technical background (ServiceNow, SAP, or other similar systems)
• Ability to talk about architectural requirements with architects
