Job Details

We are seeking a Infrastructure Engineer (MSP) with deep expertise in servers, storage, and networking. This role requires 70% local/regional travel throughout North Carolina and South Carolina to support client sites, with all travel expenses and per diem fully covered. The ideal candidate will be highly skilled in designing, deploying, and supporting enterprise-class infrastructure solutions, with the ability to balance server, storage, and network responsibilities in dynamic client environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Travel locally/regionally (70% within NC & SC) to deliver on-site client projects and support
  • Deploy, configure, and maintain servers, SANs, and enterprise networking gear in client data centers
  • Support and optimize data center operations, ensuring high availability, redundancy, and performance
  • Lead data center migrations, including server builds, storage deployments, and data transfers
  • Troubleshoot complex issues across compute, storage, and networking layers under pressure
  • Perform system upgrades, patching, and hardware refreshes for servers, SANs, and network gear
  • Collaborate with client IT teams to gather requirements, design solutions, and oversee implementations
  • Produce detailed documentation, including system build guides, network diagrams, and operational standards

Required Skills & Experience
  • Strong hands-on expertise with Servers, SANs, and Networking
  • Enterprise networking experience with: Meraki, Juniper, Cisco, HPE
  • Solid understanding of protocols such as TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VLANs, VPNs
  • Experience with virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V), HA clusters, and disaster recovery solutions
  • Proven ability to deploy and migrate servers/storage systems, not just support them
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills across infrastructure stacks
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work directly with clients

Preferred Qualifications
  • Certifications such as CCNP, JNCIS, HPE ASE, or equivalent
  • Experience with data center migrations and large-scale deployments
  • Familiarity with ITIL practices and enterprise service management
