Position Overview:
As a Chemist Contractor, you will play a crucial role in preparing and analyzing samples for opioids and other novel psychoactive substances in human specimens (blood, urine, and serum) and wastewater.
The scope of analysis extends to contaminants such as antibiotics, radionuclides, metals, and pesticides.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct complex chemical analyses on environmental, food, or clinical matrices.
Operate advanced laboratory equipment such as LC-MS/MS, LC-QTOF, and GC-MS/MS.
Adhere to Quality Assurance guidelines and maintain technical expertise.
Perform preventative maintenance and repair on laboratory equipment.
Prepare technical reports, update SOPs, and maintain a safe work environment.
Cross-train on additional analytical procedures within the laboratory.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in chemical or physical science from an accredited institution.
Minimum of 2 years of experience as an analytical chemist.
Extensive knowledge of EPA, FDA, DEA, ISO 17025, and CLIA standards.
Proficiency in chromatography and mass spectrometry techniques.
Ability to design analytical methods and assist with statistical reporting.
Work Schedule:
Monday through Friday, 7.5 hours per day.
