TOP SKILLS REQUIRED:
Required
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
10+ years of experience in architecture, platform engineering, or technical leadership roles-ideally within healthcare or regulated digital product domains.
Expertise in designing microservices, RESTful APIs, and secure cloud-native architectures.
Deep knowledge of modern platform capabilities including identity management (e.g., OAuth2, OIDC), API gateways, event streaming, and observability stacks.
Strong understanding of how to consume and extend enterprise services from IT teams into product-grade reusable capabilities.
Preferred
Experience working in regulated environments (e.g., healthcare, life sciences, finance). Not required to have healthcare, but prefers consultants that come from product based companies over services.
Familiarity with enterprise platforms such as Azure or AWS; knowledge of infrastructure-as-code and CI/CD pipelines.
Experience with observability tools (e.g., Datadog, Dynatrace), service cataloging, and operational runbooks.
Relevant certifications (e.g., TOGAF, Azure Solutions Architect, AWS Certified Architect) are a plus.
Description
You will drive architecture patterns, reusable APIs, secure integrations, and developer-friendly service models that accelerate the delivery of regulated, cloud-native digital products. As a key technical counterpart to the Senior Product Manager, you will collaborate across product, R&D, security, and platform teams to define how enterprise services are packaged, extended, and used across digital health applications.
Key Responsibilities
Design and evolve foundational architecture (e.g., IAM, commerce, observability, patient onboarding) with a focus on cloud-native, microservices-based patterns.
Lead the extension and adaptation of enterprise services to meet the needs of regulated applications
Define reusable service patterns, reference architectures, and integration blueprints to ensure interoperability, scalability, and compliance.
Service Enablement & Consumption Modeling
Collaborate with product and engineering teams to design APIs and platform components that make enterprise services consumable by multiple products.
Establish service-level expectations, technical interfaces, and lifecycle governance for common capabilities across business units.
Ensure technical alignment with enterprise security, compliance, and data standards-without duplicating internal IT functions.
Observability, Compliance & Performance
Design and implement observability frameworks (e.g., logging, monitoring, tracing) tailored for service reliability and regulatory transparency.
Collaborate with cybersecurity and compliance teams to ensure architectural decisions embed privacy, HIPAA, and regulatory constraints.
Continuously optimize system performance, latency, and resilience based on real-world usage and product telemetry.
Technical Leadership & Stakeholder Collaboration
Serve as a technical leader within the team, mentoring engineering teams and influencing cross-functional design discussions.
Partner with the Director, Platform Owner and Senior Product Manager to align technology direction with platform strategy.
Communicate architecture vision and trade-offs effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
