Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer with extensive expertise in Ab Initio ETL design and development to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in developing and maintaining enterprise data warehouse (EDW) processes, analyzing business requirements, and ensuring optimal performance of ETL workflows.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain ETL workflows using Ab Initio.
- Collaborate with Business Analysts to understand business requirements, resolve production issues, and translate needs into data specifications.
- Analyze Autosys schedules and ensure smooth execution of EDW batch processes.
- Identify and resolve performance issues, and recommend/implement performance tuning techniques.
- Execute change control and promotion tasks within the EDW environment.
- Support production moves following Release and Change Management processes.
- Provide accurate development effort estimates for enhancements.
- Enhance ETL code and develop associated test plans.
- Gather requirements and prepare detailed ETL specification documents.
- Conduct in-depth data analysis to deliver solutions related to Provider, Group, Member, Product, Accounting, and Consumer Engagement data.
Technical Skills & Qualifications
- 10+ years of Ab Initio development and maintenance experience.
- Strong proficiency in SQL and ETL concepts.
- Hands-on experience with Teradata SQL Assistant, SQL Server, and other database clients.
- Strong knowledge of data analysis and integration.
- Experience working with scheduling tools such as Autosys.
- Solid understanding of SDLC processes.
