Senior .Net Engineer / Contract / Western Suburbs of Chicago

A dominant nationwide distribution company in the apparel and fashion industry is looking for a software engineer to join their ambitious engineering team. This position is located in the Western Suburbs of Chicago is contract-to-hire. Technology that is crucial is .Net Core and C#.

With this role you will be creating technical solutions that you will be able to implement to ensure the growth and success of the company. The systems that you will be developing have the sole purpose of helping advance the company's progress. While you are implementing and improving new web and API systems, other projects might consist of developing new tools in a cloud-based environment. This role has an ideal candidate that is a knowledgeable developer that can showcase business value to internal and external stakeholders.

Contract Duration: 6 months
Required Skills & Experience

• 6+ years of experience with programming languages that includes .Net (C#/VB.Net)
• Experience in APIs and JSON (5+ years)
• Knowledge of front-end software that using Blazor (3+ years)
• 3+ years' experience with relational databases like Microsoft SQL Server or Oracle
• Comfortable building features integrating with external services over APIs
• Familiarity working in Agile development environment
• Self-starter and able to handle multiple tasks and priorities
• Previous background with cloud platforms such as Azure is a plus

Daily Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, support, and maintain custom dot net applications with regards to business requirements that use approved technologies and coding standards.
• Connect with stakeholders to create new features.
• Find and solve any software defects to ensure software systems run smoothly
• Control code quality through unit testing.
• Commit towards helping with completion of development tasks along with smaller projects also while maintaining company standards.
