Job Details
The Cloud Developer will play a key role in designing, developing, deploying, and maintaining secure, scalable cloud-native applications and infrastructure in the Amazon Web Services (AWS) environment. This individual will collaborate across teams to modernize enterprise applications, improve performance, and align technology with (CLIENT) business goals.
Location: West Sacramento, CA (onsite, hybrid as directed)
Duration: 12-month contract with the option to extend up to 24 additional months (full time, approx. 160 hours per month)
In this role, you will:
- Design, build, and maintain cloud-native applications that support enterprise operations.
- Develop, document, and manage RESTful APIs for integration across systems.
- Implement and optimize Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or AWS CDK.
- Modernize applications for cloud readiness and migration.
- Utilize serverless computing (AWS Lambda, API Gateway, Step Functions) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) to build scalable solutions.
- Ensure security, compliance, and resilience of applications and infrastructure.
- Deploy and manage cloud monitoring and logging tools (CloudWatch, Prometheus, ELK/EFK).
- Collaborate with DevOps, Security, and Product teams to deliver solutions that align with business and technical requirements.
- Good problem management/resolution capability with hands on ability and customer facing skills.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- 7+ years of hands-on experience in cloud development and deployment, with a strong focus on AWS.
- Proven background in full-stack application development for enterprise-scale environments.
- Expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or AWS CDK.
- Demonstrated experience implementing and managing CI/CD pipelines.
- Practical experience with container platforms (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Familiarity with serverless architectures and AWS native services (Lambda, API Gateway, Step Functions).
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Python, Java, or Node.js.
- Strong understanding of application and infrastructure security best practices.
- Experience optimizing cloud performance and cost efficiency.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to deliver results with minimal guidance.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively across teams.
QUALIFICATION
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Advanced AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Developer, or AWS DevOps Engineer) strongly preferred.
