Akkodis is seeking a Network Engineer for a Contract job with a client in Austin, TX(Hybrid). You will be responsible for optimizing network performance and ensuring high availability through proactive troubleshooting and infrastructure planning.
Rate Range: $53/hour to $56/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Pay Details: $53.00 to $56.00 per hour

Network Engineer job responsibilities include:
- Design, implement, and maintain LAN/WAN infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and cabling.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.
- Optimize network performance by reducing latency, packet loss, and jitter while scaling for future growth.
- Deploy and support network software updates, patches, and system upgrades.
- Collaborate with IT security, cloud, and infrastructure teams to ensure secure and resilient network architecture.
- Document network configurations and procedures and maintain up-to-date infrastructure diagrams.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum 5-7 years of hands-on experience in network engineering and infrastructure management.
- Proven expertise with enterprise-grade networking equipment, including Arista, Nokia, Juniper SRX, and Cisco switches.
- Strong ability to design and maintain high-availability network architectures with a focus on performance optimization and security compliance.
