job summary:

Our West Michigan client is an experienced Software Engineer with a passion for developing highly interactive and user-centric digital experiences across web and mobile platforms. In this role, you will be a key contributor to the development of our e-commerce website and the Mobile App. You will be responsible for building robust functionality related to our Content Management System (CMS), web interface, and cross-platform mobile app, which uses React Native for both iOS and Android. The ideal candidate is a proficient full-stack or front-end engineer who can thrive in an agile environment and is committed to delivering high-quality, scalable code. This can be remote role preferably near Michigan.

responsibilities:

  • Software Development: Write clean, modular, and well-documented code using TypeScript and JavaScript for web and mobile applications.
  • Web Development: Build and maintain web-based functionality for the website using modern front-end technologies, primarily ReactJS.
  • Mobile Development: Architect, develop, and maintain the Mobile App for iOS and Android using the React Native framework.
  • CMS Integration: Work with our Content Management System (CMS) to develop, integrate, and display dynamic content across both web and mobile platforms.
  • Performance Optimization: Ensure applications are performant, responsive, and secure, troubleshooting and resolving bottlenecks as they arise.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with product managers, UX/UI designers, and backend engineers to translate requirements and mockups into functional, intuitive user interfaces.
  • Code Quality: Participate in peer code reviews, write automated tests, and adhere to team best practices and development standards.
  • Lifecycle Management: Engage in the full software development lifecycle (SDLC), from initial design and ideation to deployment and maintenance.



qualifications:

Proficiency in TypeScript and JavaScript: A strong command of modern JavaScript (ES6+) and proven experience with TypeScript for building scalable applications.


ReactJS and Next.JS: Experience developing web applications using ReactJS, including a deep understanding of component-based architecture, state management, and the overall ecosystem.


React Native Experience: Demonstrated experience building and deploying cross-platform mobile applications for both iOS and Android using React Native.


CMS Integration: Experience working with a modern headless CMS (composable CMS: Payload) and integrating its API with a front-end application.


API Consumption: Familiarity with integrating applications via RESTful APIs and an understanding of how to handle data efficiently.


Agile Methodologies: Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment is preferred.


Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.


Collaboration: Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively within a team environment.
