Job Title: Sr. MuleSoft Developer
Location: Remote
Duration: Long term
Key Responsibilities
- Solution Architecture: Design and architect scalable integration solutions using MuleSoft and Java frameworks to meet complex business requirements in telecom network operations.
- Integration Development: Develop, configure, and maintain APIs and integrations using MuleSoft Anypoint Platform, DataWeave, and Java-based technologies, ensuring seamless connectivity between disparate systems.
- Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze integration requirements, translating business needs into technical specifications and actionable implementation plans.
- Technical Leadership: Mentor junior engineers, provide guidance on integration best practices, review code, and ensure adherence to quality standards across the team.
- API Management: Design, develop, and manage RESTful and SOAP APIs for internal and external consumption, ensuring secure and reliable data exchange.
- Performance Optimization: Analyze system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement improvements to optimize throughput, latency, and overall reliability.
- Testing & Validation: Develop automated unit, integration, and system tests to ensure robust, error-free solutions. Conduct code reviews and participate in QA processes.
- Documentation: Produce comprehensive design and implementation documentation, including architectural diagrams, integration flows, and deployment guides.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay current with industry trends, MuleSoft and Java advancements, and telecom network technologies to drive innovation within the organization.
- Incident Resolution: Provide Level 3 support for complex integration issues, troubleshoot production incidents, and implement preventative solutions.
- Stakeholder Communication: Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, presenting technical solutions, project status, and risk assessments as required.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics & Communication, or related field.
- 6-10 years of hands-on experience in integration engineering, software development, or related roles.
- Strong proficiency in Java, including advanced concepts such as multithreading, concurrency, and memory management.
- Minimum 3 years' experience working with MuleSoft Anypoint Platform, API Manager, and related tools.
- Proven experience designing and developing RESTful and SOAP APIs.
- Expertise in telecom network domain preferred, with exposure to OSS/BSS systems, network protocols, and telecom standards (TM Forum, MEF, etc.).
- Familiarity with enterprise integration patterns, ESB architectures, and microservices.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments and using CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Maven, Git, etc.).
- Knowledge of data transformation and mapping using MuleSoft DataWeave.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex integration issues.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with capability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Telecom certifications (e.g., TM Forum, MEF, OSS/BSS specialization) are highly desirable.
- Telecom Domain Expertise: Apply telecom network domain knowledge to integration use cases, including OSS/BSS platforms, network management, provisioning, mediation, billing, and customer care systems.
- Experience integrating with telecom equipment, network management systems, and billing platforms.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform) and hybrid integration architectures.
- Hands-on experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) in integration deployments.
- Exposure to DevOps practices and infrastructure automation.
- Experience with other integration tools such as Apache Camel, Dell Boomi, or Informatica is a plus.
- Knowledge of security best practices for APIs and data flows, including OAuth, SAML, and JWT.
